The RMX128 provides the redundancy link between the primary and secondary CPUs in an RX3i Hot Standby (HSB) system: any data written by one CPU is mirrored to its partner over a deterministic 2.12 Gbaud fiber-optic reflective-memory network, enabling bumpless switchover. It can also serve as a node in a multi-PLC reflective-memory ring of up to 256 nodes, and it interoperates with the VMIC 5565 family of reflective-memory devices.
