eneral Introduction
DO620 ABB module is developed to facilitate seamless data exchange and control among various components within industrial automation systems . It supports multiple communication protocols and interfaces, including FBP interface, COM1 (pluggable terminal block) and COM2 (Sub-D plug), to connect with different devices . Besides, it features modular design, hot-swappable support, etc .
Usage Notes
- Configuration of Unused Input Channels: To make sure that unused input channels have a defined 0V level, you can short them to AGND. Meanwhile, you must configure these channels as “unused” in the relevant settings.
- Configuration of Input Signal Delay: When the terminals are used as digital inputs, the input signal delay can be configured to either 7 ms (default) or 1 ms. You can adjust it by setting specific bits in the system constant KW 85, 01 as required.
- Error Monitoring for Digital Outputs: When using the terminals as digital outputs, the output “1” status of each is monitored via a re-readable input. If there is an incorrect output status, the output group involved will generate an overall error message, which is displayed by the red LED OVL and relevant PLC error flags. Such errors may be caused by overload, short circuit, or the lack of supply voltage for UP5/ZP5.
Technical Specifications
The measured values are converted with a resolution of 12 bits, namely, 11 bits plus sign for voltage signals, and 12 unsigned bits for current. The 0-5V and ±5V ranges use a conversion resolution of 10 bits plus sign.
Expansion and Integration
DLM02’s rack comes with 10 module slots that support various communication modules for Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus, Industrial Ethernet, etc. You can insert appropriate modules according to specific communication needs to enhance the connectivity of your system. The module can also connect to multiple I/O module baseboards, enabling you to achieve local I/O extensions as your system expansion demands.
